Early literacy builds the foundation for academic achievement.
Davis School District’s Family Literacy Nights help families support children’s reading and learning from the earliest years through elementary school. Families will participate in hands-on activities, learn practical strategies and choose four sessions tailored to their child’s age, grade and learning needs.
Sessions are designed for children ages 0–3, ages 3–5, kindergarten and first grade, and second and third grade. Sessions will be offered in English and Spanish, with interpretation available in additional languages.

💛 Reminders for the Week of October 12th! 💙
🐾 Clinton Cougars Are Exceeding Expectations! 🐾
At Clinton Elementary, we love celebrating our Cougars! Students who exceed expectations can earn a Clinton Cougar Card and a prize for showing outstanding behavior and making positive choices. 💙
Once a month, we select three students to play Plinko and win a special prize for their class! 🎉
Today, our Cougars had a blast with some exciting classroom rewards! Mrs. Hatsis' class and Mr. Dastrup's class won Minute to Win It game time. Mr. Dastrup's class also won Balloon Badminton! 🎈
These fun activities are about more than just winning prizes. Students are learning and growing their social skills, practicing teamwork, working together, and encouraging one another. We are so proud of our Cougars for building positive relationships and learning how to be great teammates!

This week we are highlighting Mrs. Mower and Mrs. Miller!
Mrs. Mower enjoys reading outdoors while on vacation, and with her daughter during Open Library.
Mrs. Miller’s days have been spent trying to entertain her almost 3-year-old and 4-year-old grandchildren, so their preferred genre has been picture books. “We LOVE to read books and take the opportunity anytime we can...even while waiting for a parade in Disney World! Good reading habits start young!”
