School-Wide Data Success

School-Wide Data Success:

I was recently notified by The Utah State Board of Education English Language Arts team with the following message. “We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations for the exceptional progress your school demonstrated in advancing literacy during the 2024-2025 school year. We are thrilled to recognize your school for increasing the percentage of students reading on grade level in first grade from the beginning of the year to the end of the year by 10% or more. This significant increase is a testament to the focused, high-quality instruction, tireless effort, and deep commitment of the educators in your school.”

Last school year’s 1stgrade team was Mrs. Miller, Ms. Reese, and Mrs. Swanson

In December, students in kindergarten through 3rd grade completed the Acadience Math assessment. We are seeing significant growth in students’ Pathways of Progress learning and benchmark goals from the beginning of the year to the middle of the year. Our teachers and students are working hard to meet personal, school, and district goals, and we are so proud of everyone!

One of our school math goals is for 62% of students in grades 1–3 to make typical, above, or well-above progress from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Currently, 79% of our students have met this goal for middle of the year!

We also have a goal specific to kindergarten students to maintain the percentage of students who are at benchmark on the Next Number Fluency assessment from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Currently, the percentage of kindergarten students scoring at benchmark has not only been maintained but has increased by 17%!
