Ask Abigail Caldwell what makes Clinton Elementary special, and her answer is instant: “It’s like one big family. It might sound cheesy—but it’s true.”
Now in junior high, Abigail still carries the sense of connection she felt throughout her time at Clinton.
“I always felt seen and supported—from kindergarten with Ms. Reese to sixth grade with Mrs. Smith and Mr. Dastrup,” she said. “And Mrs. Kirkman helped me fall in love with reading. Every teacher made me feel appreciated.”
Abigail is now involved in a variety of clubs and organizations including Student Government, Art Club, National Junior Honor Society, Track and Field, Concert Orchestra and the Davis Academic League.
“The culture at Clinton gave me confidence,” she said. “It helped shape me into the person I am today.”
