For Deon Dela Rosa, Clinton Elementary wasn’t just a school—it was a launchpad.
Currently serving as a grade Representative at Sunset Junior High, Deon remembers his elementary years with appreciation and pride.
“I really enjoyed everything I did there—my friends, learning, clubs,” he said. “The teachers and staff were always so supportive. I’m so thankful for how much they helped me grow.”
From day one, Deon felt like part of a community that wanted him to succeed. Whether in the classroom or through student activities, he was encouraged to lead and learn. Now, in junior high, those lessons have stayed with him. He’s known among peers as someone who’s involved, thoughtful and hardworking.
And while he’s now moving forward, he hasn’t forgotten where it all started.
“Clinton Elementary helped shape who I am,” he said. “I appreciate every one of my teachers for being such a big part of that.”
