Principal’s Message 2020-2021
I am honored to introduce myself as the Clinton Elementary principal. My name is Julie Lundell and this is my 15th year in the Davis School District. I have been a teacher, language arts coordinator, and elementary school administrator. I am passionate about learning and helping students be successful.
After growing up in Arizona, work opportunities brought my husband and I to northern Davis County, where we raised our four sons. Along the way, I completed a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership at Utah State University.
This year our school theme is “Bee” Kind. As a school we will be focusing on social emotional skills, including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. Our theme of kindness embraces these concepts and includes kindness to self as well as those around us. The “Bee” part of the theme was chosen as a symbol of working together to support each other.
During a school year that will likely bring new challenges, as we address a world-wide pandemic, focusing on kindness and supporting one another seems timelier than ever. We look forward to supporting our students and learning together at Clinton Elementary.
