I am honored to introduce myself as Clinton Elementary’s new principal. My name is Julie Lundell and this is my 14th year in the Davis School District. I have been a teacher, language arts coordinator, and an assistant principal. I am passionate about learning and helping students be successful.
After growing up in Arizona, work opportunities brought my husband and I to northern Davis County, where we raised our four sons. Along the way, I completed a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership at Utah State University.
This year our school theme is “We’ve Got GRIT!” We will be promoting the positive character trait of grit, which is a blend of resiliency, passion, and perseverance. We want our students to know how to work hard and stick with things even when they are difficult, or success is not immediate. Grit is a character trait that leads to success when pursuing goals in life, whether related to school or other areas.
I look forward to getting to know the students and families at Clinton Elementary, and enjoying a great year full of learning together.
